Rough Edge Slate Signs

These rustic edge slate house signs are excellent value for money. They are made from 6-8mm slate with a rough edge finish. The letters are carved into the slate by sand blasting and then painted with a very tough and durable external paint. The softer colours such as Farrow & Ball Purbeck Stone or Lichen look very effective on this type of slate sign.

For slate signs with fine detail the lettering can be lasered instead of sandblasting and painting.

As these are a lighter weight slate sign, the easiest way to fix is with an exterior tile adhesive. However if you prefer we will drill holes into the slate

An interesting alternative to the standard rustic slate sign is to reverse the process of making the sign by spraying the slate surface with a really tough paint and then carving the letters. For fine detail we use a laser, for larger bold text a sand blaster to create deeper letters.

LETTERS
The letters are painted white, black, gold, light green (Farrow & Ball Lichen) and light grey (Farrow & Ball Purbeck Stone). The price includes the first 6 characters. Extra letters are charged at £1.10 per letter. For lasered slate the price includes all lettering.
