Projecting Signs with Heavy Duty Brackets

These heavy duty brackets are of steel construction which has been zinc and powder coated black. They are available in fifteen sizes for square, portait and landscape panels.

The aluminium composite panels are normally attached to both sides of the bracket. The bracket can be supplied with the panels which can be blank, full colour or single colour. Supplied with wall fixings. Lighting units are an optional extra.

ToughPrint Memorials

These plaques are ideal for full-colour memorials with rich, vibrant colours. They resist fading, moisture, abrasion, scratches, acid, and harsh weather, including seaside conditions. Made from 3mm aluminum and fully encapsulated using a heat process, they have a high-quality, graffiti-resistant finish. 

Text can be included on the plaque or they can simply be a photo which is to be mounted on another material or just as it is.

Porcelain Plaques

Made from vitreous porcelain these plaques provide a permanent outdoor memorial using ceramic pigments which are fade resistant. The black and white or sepia plaques look very effective. Available in a several standard size these can be produced with the photo going right to the perimeter or have the edge feathering to white.

They can be sold alone or inset into another material such as corian, wood, slate or granite.

Etched Stainless Steel

These are superb quality memorials where a black and white photo is chemically etched into the stainless steel along with the lettering. The result is excellent and it has the added advantage that unlike many of the printed photo plaque - IT WILL NOT FADE.

The better the quality of the photo the better the result. Our designers can convert a colour photo into a black & white photo and we can remove backgrounds too.

Good Value Engraved Plaques in Acrylic Laminate

At The Sign Maker, we pride ourselves on crafting high-quality signage and memorials for all budgets. Acrylic Laminate is a budget-friendly material for engraved memorial plaques.

Despite being lower in cost, acrylic laminate has numerous strengths and benefits. These memorials are virtually maintenance-free and durable, as well as weatherproof and UV-resistant—ideal for an outdoor memorial plaque.

We have a wide range of colours available, and we believe that the acrylic memorial plaques look great when secured and mounted to a wooden backing board.

Oval, Round & Heart Shaped Wooden Plaques

These beautiful wooden plaques can be made in a variety of sizes using Oak or Iroko. For outside use Iroko is often considered preferable as it is full of oil. Oak is also used as it is very beautiful but must be well maintained to stay looking at its best. Wording and images are engraved into the wood using our latest laser technology. The results are simply stunning.

Engraved Wooden Crosses

Crafted with classic Oak, or Iroko - similar to teak, these memorial signs stand out for all the right reasons and would honour the life and legacy of someone perfectly. Handcrafted in four different sizes, these crosses make for simple yet beautiful memorial pieces. The lettering and images of your choosing can be lasered directly into the wood or onto a plate which is then mounted onto the cross - both options, though different, deliver the same quality appearance.

Wooden Memorial Plaques

Our wooden memorial plaques are very elegant and very beautiful. Plaques made from wood feel very natural and are often more appropriate to use than the rather formal engraved brass. Oak memorials are beautiful but for least maintenance we suggest iroko. Another low maintenance option is Douglas Fir. They can all be fitted with a wooden or metal tree stake.

Woodland & Natural Burials

Some woodland burial sites require memorials to be as natural as possible, which in most cases involves having a memorial plaque that is entirely wood with no metal fixtures. Our talented craftsmen can craft bespoke wooden memorial plaques to meet these requirements, while enabling you to access a design that works for you. We can even make wooden ashes caskets without screws.

Though we have a variety of solutions, our recommendations include wooden lawn memorials, wooden plaques fixed to oak posts with wooden dowels and oak crosses - all of which would make a fitting tribute for a loved one.

Cast Metal House Numbers

The Cast Brass House Number Signs can be painted in Black, Red, Purple, Blue, Green or Maroon. A motif can be included.

The Cast Aluminium Number Signs are well made & heavy house cast in solid aluminium. They are black with polished aluminium or white painted letters. A hand painted motif can be included. All the house numbers have a durable baked finish. 

Hand Painted Cast Door Numbers

These signs are cast in one piece using a very high quality polyurethane. This is an extremely tough hard wearing material which is solid, rigid and does not corrode. It has a distinct advantage over cast metal in that the lettering is crisper and the motifs, logos and crests can be much more intricate. The lettering, borders and rims are raised. There are raised motifs but your own images can be hand painted onto your door number sign.

Granite House Numbers

LOW COST house number signs made in 6 different granites plus limestone. You choose the font, letter colour, plus border or image can be added. Granite door numbers are very long lasting and virtually maintenance free.

Engraved Brass Address Signs & Number Plaques

We offer a wide range of house number signs, but nothing quite matches the timeless elegance of a classic, polished brass address sign. Glass Like Acrylic Name Plate

High quality contemporary acrylic signs suitable for internal or external use. These signs look crystal clean like glass and are ideal for a modern look.

Apart from a wash occasionally no other maintenance is required.

Painted and Etched Clear Acrylic Plaques & Signs

These are made using a combination of techniques. First the plaque goes to the sprayroom and the back is sprayed with two coats of a special paint. It is then taken to the laser room and the design is laser etched into the paint.

The overall effect is stunning. The front of the sign is smooth and glass-like with all the detail on the reverse.

Cast Oval House Signs

Cast oval house signs in a variety of sizes from small 230mm x 165mm to the very large 610mm x 330mm. Six standard styles available from simplie two lines of text, two lines and house number to a sign with hand painted raised motif.

As the motifs are all hand painted the colours can be adjusted.

Cast Sign With Arch Top

There are five standard styles of arch top cast house sign with sizes ranging from 300mm x 200mm to the 800mm x 500mm. Extra painted images can be added.

Cast Signs - Rectangles

With the rectangular signs the are again five style and a variety of sizes. This are not just used for house signs but are ideal as low maintenance information signs.

Domed Top Cast House Sign

This style is ideal for having the house name at the bottom and a motif or house number within the dome. As with all the cast poyurethane these signs are very long lasting and virtually maintenance free.

It is possible to have more lines of text on some of the large signs.

Standard Motifs

There are eighteen standard motifs each of which is hand painted. You can change the colours as you want. In addition the artist can paint extra details around the motif making the design absolutely unique.
