. Top Quality Engravers Brass We use top quality engravers brass 1.5mm, 2mm and 3mm thick. The brass plaques can be cut to any size. The 3mm thick is only appropriate for large signs. For a faster delivery we do have 12 stock sizes including two ovals - Click Here Sizes and Prices Prices include 50 characters. Extra letters £3.00 per 50, Letters are sized to fit the plaque. Small letters ( under 10mm) are scratch engraved and left unpainted while larger letters are deep engraved and can be infilled white, black, blue, green, orange, red or left unpainted. 	Letters   Deep engraved letters which can be paint filled can use any of the fonts listed opposite - Minimum letter size- 10mm. 2-3 upper case letters and spaces to an inch - 25mm, 3-4 lower case letters and spaces to an inch - 25mm Where there is a lot of text on a small plaque it may well have to be scratched engraved. Scratch engraved (unpainted) letters - Minimum letter size - 5mm. Pictures We can include simple pictures on the signs. We have a selection of standard images CLICK HERE - the cost for one of these is £3.75. If you want us to use you own artwork it must be a clean silhouette style image (no fine lines or shading) sent as jpg, giff, tiff or png file The cost for this is £17.50. If you can send your artwork in as an AI or vectorised EPS file for a PC we can reduce the cost to £9.00.   . Font Times Roman. Black letters. Own Logo. Wooden Backing Boards We can supply wooden backing boards if required. They are usually made in Oak. However we do have Sapele (similar to mahogany) and Iroko (similar to teak). If you want a specific timber, please state on the order form. Black letters & scratch engraving Very fine engravings and small text cannot be paint filled and is scratched engraved as shown here with the Fosters logo. The minimum size of letters for paint fill is 10mm. As a standard we treat the timber with Danish Oil. However we can also treat with a black preservative which can look stunning.
