Chemically Etched Stainless Steel, Bronze and Brass Signs / Name Plates These are available in brushed stainless steel which is very easy to maintain, but we can also use mirror polished stainless steel and mirror polished brass. . The main benefit of chemical etching over engraving is no mechanical stress to the material and no cutter marks as the unwanted material is removed by chemicals leaving clear sharp flat surface detail. Much of the detail can be extremely fine as required in many corporate logos. Letters can also be much smaller than is possible with normal engraving. Sizes and Prices Prices include any number of characters and up to 4 colours including pantone colours. Images We can include images on the signs. We have a selection CLICK HERE - or you can send in you own artwork - The cost is £2.75 per standard image or £8.25 for your own artwork has been vectorised (outline/traced) in a PC format - file types AI, or EPS. £16.50 for other formats eg. jpg, tiff or bitmap or artwork to be scanned   Wooden Backing Boards We can supply wooden backing boards if required. They are usually made in Oak. However we do have Sapele (similar to mahogany) and Iroko (similar to teak). If you want a specific timber, please state on the order form. However we can also treat oak boards with a black preservative which can look stunning with the stainless steel. For a more contempory look we suggest using the black finish with a simple rounded edge to the board. The plaque above had a backing board made with 13mm slate effect corian. This required no maintenance and is longer lasting too. Priced  the same as timber. Plaques are fixed to corian with external double sided tape. Order Form to Print
